The hospital says that yes she now has gangrene. So it is official. Her toes are gangreneous, and her blood has the infection, so they were both right really. Tomorrow she is booked for an amputation of her leg, and then a full blood tranfusion. It is a 25% chance, but a 25% chance of living a relatively normal life is much better than a 100% chance of slowly and painfully withering away says Nanna. I guess we see how it goes from here. Either I'll be updating with the news she is out of intensive care after her operation. Or I won't.
At least they're doing soemthing now.
Tony visited her today too. He's terrified, poor fellow. Operations make him nervous at the best of times.
